Google Search Sidebar

• Open the sidebar, and enter a search query
• Select text, and click the magnifying glass icon in the PixieBrix text selection menu
• Toggle the PixieBrix Quick Bar and type your search query

Define a Custom Google Search

• Click "+ Custom Search", or run a search and click "Save As Custom Search"
• Add a title
• Edit the custom query. The custom query is appended to your query
• Click Show in Quick Bar to include the custom search in the PixieBrix Quick Bar

Example Patterns

• site:docs.pixiebrix.com: limit search to a specific domain
• filetype:pdf: limit search to PDF documents

Advanced Search Operators

• define:: Search for the definition of a word or phrase
• cache:: Find the most recent cache of a webpage
• related: Search for sites related to a given domain
• inurl: Search for pages with a particular word in the URL
• before:: Search for results from before a particular date
• after:: Search for results from after a particular date
