If you're looking for inspiration for your next startup, this mod suggests similar (but slightly different) startup ideas based on Product Hunt listings. Click the button and PixieBrix reads the page and sends info to OpenAI and asks it to generate a similar business idea, but with a twist—something to differentiate and stand out in the market.

PreReqs

• Create a PixieBrix account. It's free and only takes a minute!

Activate the Mod

1. Activate this mod by clicking this link or by clicking the purple Activate button in the top corner above the gif ^^.
2. No need to configure an OpenAI integration— you can use ours! (Unless you'd like to configure you're own.)
3. Click the purple 🪄 Finish Activating button.

Try it Out

1. After you've activated the mod from the instructions above, head to a Product Hunt listing.
2. Next to the Upvote button, you should see a purple button for suggesting a competitive startup idea. Click it and PixieBrix will get to work!
   
   
3. After a moment, a sidebar panel appears, explaining what a similar but slightly different business might look like and explaining what the competitive advantage would be.
   
   

Troubleshooting

• Sidebar not appearing right away? It can take a few moments to read the page, send the info over to OpenAI, get a response and show it on the page. Please give it up to a minute to appear with the suggested business idea!
• It says there's an error. At the moment, this mod only works on a product page, not a listing modal, though the button does appear there. It's an easy fix! If you're in the listing modal and getting an error, simply refresh the page and it will load the product page. Then you can press the button and see the results. Like this!
